Had no luck finding a later version driver for the mouse, either from MS or Memorex. It only seems to happen when I try using windows dialer to connect to the internet.
Anyone have any idea how I could fix this?
Optical mouse problem
Thanks again for assisting. U have to try until one do the trick. I will try using a better pad, this surface is wood since it is optical I thought a sheet of smooth wood would be sufficient, maybe not.

The Mouse seems to work OK but for sometime I have been experiencing irratic behavior of the cursor suddenly moving to a corner either top left or bottom left or top right or bottom right when I am about to place the cursor on something and click, once I clicked and it had landed on the webpage “X” square to Close The Window and it Closed.
I had a shutdown problem with it Windows 98 SE xm4210 restart after the password screen and exited with a Explorer Error. I initially would boot up then delete the mouse in hardware profiles.
I then tried doing the same thing but with my modem HSP micro and it seems to fix the problem at least until I reboot then it’s back to square one. No need to be fancy, just an overview.
